The Italian Club, Atalanta has entered negotiations with Chelsea to sign full-back Davide on loan for next season.
The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Chelsea and staying in Stamford Bridge will do no good for him. The club is attempting to ship him out ‘again’ in the current window.
Zappacosta spent the previous season on loan with another Italian club, Roma but struggled to perform due to injuries.
According to the sources, Atalanta is keen to sign the Chelsea fullback again for one season as they failed to bring in a new right-back for the coming season.

After failing to land Roma’s Rick Karsdorp due to commission issues with his agent, Atalanta will likely complete the deal in no time.
Zappacosta played for Bergamo until 2015 before moving to Torino. It was from there that he joined the Stamford Bridge. The full-back has struggled with limited playing time and has also suffered from frequent injuries.
