Serie A heavyweights Atalanta have zeroed in on Chelsea outcast Tammy Abraham as their key target this summer and are understood to be willing to shell out the asking price for the England international forward.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Italian outfit are considering the 23-year-old Abraham as their ideal replacement for Duván Zapata who is wanted by Inter Milan who themselves are on the hunt for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku’s replacement.
Lukaku is believed to be edging closer to a big-money return to Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window with Thomas Tuchel amping up his side’s approach for the Belgium international who had earlier turned down interest from his former club.
With Inter Milan set to receive a major windfall from Lukaku’s imminent exit from San Siro, the Serie A holders will be prioritising a move for Atalanta’s star striker Zapata which would mean that Tammy Abraham could be on his way out of the Bridge as Gian Piero Gasperini eyes him up.
Abraham has courted much attention over the course of this summer window with interest arriving in his services from a host of clubs across England in Arsenal, West Ham United and Aston Villa.
