Aston Villa vs Chelsea – Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup | PL 22-23

Chelsea make travels to Villa Park on Sunday to lock horns with Aston Villa with the Blues aiming to maintain their winning ways under Graham Potter’s charge.

Since Potter assumed the reigns at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are yet to taste defeat in any competition and their last outing in midweek was a convincing 2-0 win over AC Milan.

Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against Aston Villa –

3-4-2-1

Kepa is unlikely to drop down to the bench on the back of his stellar run of form between the sticks for Chelsea despite Edouard Mendy pushing for a return to the XI.

In the backline, Wesley Fofana remains an injury concern which should see Potter continue to field Trevoh Chalobah alongside Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Reece James could be sidelined for the upcoming fixture which opens the door for Cesar Azpilicueta to come into the XI while Marc Cucurella is another player eyeing a starting berth.

In the attacking lineup, Kai Havertz could be seen leading the line in the central striking role with Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount for company.
