Aston Villa are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer in order to freshen things up in the front line.
The Midlands outfit have put out a good set of displays under their new head coach Unai Emery and could be looking to sign a new number nine in the summer transfer window with Aubameyang earmarked as a top target.
Aubameyang has worked previously with Emery at Arsenal and the latter is said to be a huge admirer of the ex-Gunners talisman who has failed to hit the ground running since he joined Chelsea last summer from Barcelona.
He has contributed just three goals in 17 outings for Graham Potter’s Blues and could be on the move just a year into his life in the Chelsea shirt with Aston Villa on the lookout for a fresh pair of legs to reinforce their attack, claims a report from The Athletic.
Villa are keen to bolster the front line options at Unai Emery’s disposal and the manager would be delighted for a potential reunion come the summer with his former Arsenal star Aubameyang.
