Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk’s head turned by interest from Chelsea

Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk’s head is reportedly turned by interest from Chelsea who have emerged as serious contenders to land his signature.

The Shakhtar Donestk forward is keen to leave the Ukrainian giants before the January transfer window deadline with North London side Arsenal credited with a strong interest in moving in for Mudryk.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the  22-year-old winger with Graham Potter’s side, who are in the market for a new signing to bolster their front line, are open to meet the astronomical £88 million asking price.

Shakhtar’s sporting director Darijo Srna is rumoured to be in talks with the Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly who is hoping to pip local rivals Arsenal to securing the coveted signature of the Shakhtar talisman Mudryk.

A new attacking recruit for Potter at Stamford Bridge has become more important in recent weeks following injures to Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic as the latter continues to be linked with a move elsewhere.
