Arsenal are keen to move in for Chelsea target Declan Rice in the summer with the West Ham United star emerging as top name on the shopping list at the Emirates.
The England international midfielder is certain to be at the centre of a bidding war in the coming months with Rice heavily expected to leave West Ham at the end of the season to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
Chelsea have long-standing suitors for the 24-year-old, who is a product of the famed Blues youth academy, but could now be challenged to singing the player with city rivals Arsenal throwing their hat in the ring for Rice.
According to a report from The Times, it is claimed that the Premier League table toppers Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Rice ahead of the forthcoming summer with the North London outfit growing in confidence that they can beat Chelsea to the player’s signature.
Rice was released as a 14-year-old from the Chelsea academy and many have suggested a return to west London for the English midfielder who enjoys a brilliant relationship with Blues star Mason Mount.
