Antonio Rudiger says Chelsea unsatisfied following Wolves stalemate

Antonio Rudiger insisted his Chelsea teammates will not be happy following the Wolves stalemate which earned the Blues a point in their travels away from home on Sunday.

Thomas Tuchel’s men dropped points for the second successive outing in Premier League football with Wolves putting out a solid show at the back to deny the visitors a chance to secure the win.

Speaking to reporters after the game ( via Metro), Rudiger admitted that luck had not been on Chelsea’s side and taking a point from the game was not something the players were happy about.

‘With the circumstances, of course the build up the game was not the easiest but we have to look at the table so yes we cannot be happy with that point.

‘Luck is not on our side because we don’t bury this type of chances [Pulisic chance] so yea it’s difficult not to win games away from home.

‘The first half it was not at our best, they dominated the game but they were not dangerous.

‘The second half we had a good uplift, we showed character but still at the end of the day we cannot be happy with this point because looking at the table.’

The draw in Sunday’s game left the west London giants six points adrift of the league leaders Manchester City and three points behind second-placed Liverpool who faced Spurs in a 2-2 affair.

Tuchel has had a major COVID-19 crisis within his ranks in recent days playing spoilsport to his squad selection plans with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi sidelined.
