Chelsea first-teamer Antonio Rudiger has hinted that he might be not willing to extend terms with the west London giants and could seek an exit in the summer transfer window with his recent comments to Kicker.
The Germany international is involved in an extended contract stalemate with the Blues and with his current deal running for another 12 months into the summer of 2022, there is speculation that the defender could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Kicker, Rudiger reaffirmed his intentions of focusing on his contract standoff after the conclusion of this summer’s UEFA Euros with the player not making much of Thomas Tuchel’s recent remarks which displayed the Chelsea boss’s intentions of keeping him at the club.
“That’s nice and I’m happy too.
“You always make your decisions to some extent dependent on the coaching staff, but in the long term you can never rely on them anyway.
“After the European Championships, we can talk.”
The Blues are understood to be on the verge of losing another centre-back name in the squad in the form of Fikayo Tomori who has been at AC Milan in a loan deal since January and is believed to be a priority target for the Serie A giants.
Tomori struggled for first-team involvement whilst in the Chelsea shirt but has displayed some tremendous showings at the back upon his move to Italy in the winter transfer window.
