AC Milan have not given up on signing Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech despite suggestions that the San Siro outfit are struggling to meet the player’s salary demands.
Ziyech enjoyed a memorable campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar where his performances were key to Morocco’s impressive run to the semi-finals and had a major impact on Ziyech’s stock soaring in the transfer market.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet SempreMilan, it is claimed that the former Ajax forward remains a top name on the shopping list for the AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli ahead of the January window.
Milan are looking to bring in a new signing to provide firepower on the right side of the attack and it is understood that Pioli has identified Ziyech as the perfect option to reinforce his front line midway through the season.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will hope to pocket a sizable fee to cash in on their out-of-favor first-teamer who could never really cement his berth on the team sheet after making the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2020.
