AC Milan have reportedly decided to cool their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the aftermath of the exits of directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.
San Siro icon Maldini had been at the forefront of talks with the Blues camp over a move for Loftus-Cheek who is heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to a report from 90min, it is claimed that the Champions League semi-finalists are set to pull the plug on negotiations with Chelsea for Loftus-Cheek with the Milan board said to be re-evaluating their strategy for the upcoming transfer window.
One priority for Milan would be to complete a deal for Daichi Kamada who had committed to a move to the club during his talks with Maldini and the player is expected to honour that.
Loftus-Cheek has just 12 months remaining on his current terms at the Bridge and Chelsea have not given up hope of cashing in on the one time England international this summer with Milan still in the mix for his signature.
