Lampard’s side thumped Crystal Palace 4-0 at the Stamford Bridge, with all the four goals coming in the second half. Midfielder Jorginho scored two goals from two penalty kicks awarded by Crystal Palace defenders.
However, when Chelsea was awarded a second penalty kick, a dispute erupted between Chelsea players, Tammy Abraham and club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta. Abraham insisted to take the penalty and wanted to be on the score-sheet but Azpilicueta denied as Jorginho was adamant to take again.
Abraham argued to take the penalty as he seemed very desperate to have a goal, but his words seemed to be gone to deaf ears. It was Jorginho who went and converted the penalty, increasing the lead.

Coach Frank Lampard said that he appreciates the eagerness of the England striker to be on the scoresheet, but the players should follow the instructions placed beforehand.
“It’s been dealt with on the pitch and in the dressing room. No problems dealt with.”
“I want leaders, and I don’t mind a little bit of conflict. He (Abraham) can get put in his place a bit and I appreciate his eagerness to get on the scoresheet, but he shouldn’t be jumping ahead on the list, and those are the rules,” said Lampard while talking to BT Sports.
Tammy’s position in Chelsea’s starting XI immediately came under threat when German striker, Timo Werner moved to Stamford Bridge. However, the coach has still managed to give them equal opportunities to play games.
Werner has more edge over Tammy and showed a great display on and off the ball for Chelsea. Therefore, desperately validating his claim on the team may backfire Tammy Abraham. Only patience and turning up in the right moments can earn him a perfect spot in many crucial games.
