Mount’s Father Hits Back at the Claims of his Son being ‘Unhappy’ with Havertz’s Transfer

Chelsea confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, making him the expensive English player ahead of Timo Werner.

The fans are quite excited as Kai hopes to make a name for himself this season in the Chelsea shirt.

Christian Falk, the leading German journalist claimed in a tweet that Kai Havertz’s arrival has made Mason Mount unhappy. He acknowledged that both Kai Havertz and Mason Mount plays in the same position.

He stated through his tweet that the transfer could have excited many Blues but certainly not the Chelsea midfielder.

Mount’s father was quick to hit back the journalist’s claims of his son being ‘unhappy’ by commenting ‘bulls’.

The young midfielder secured his first-team position after a superb breakthrough season for the Blues. He had 37 Premier League appearances and netted 13 goals in his debut season.

One of the players who Havertz could be in direct competition for a place in the side is Mount, who had a superb breakthrough year for the Blues.

The midfielder is currently on his international duties with England. He will return after the games to train with the squad for the season opener. Chelsea will face Brighton on 14th September and will expect positive results.
