Timo Werner Scored a Classic Goal for Germany Against Spain

Timo Werner scored a fantastic goal in the Nations League match against mighty Spain. The goal made every Chelsea fans go nuts.

The new Chelsea striker received the ball from Robin Gosens on the left-hand side and then shifted it onto his right foot taking on Pau Torres. He struck the ball calmly maintaining his composure which slotted low past into the net.

The goalkeeper, David De Gea and Sergio Ramos could do little about it.

It was a moment of class from the former RB Leipzig striker, who joined Chelsea for around £45m in this season.

The excitement was quite evident as Werner scored Germany’s only goal.

There was late drama in the match as Spain came from behind, to draw the match 1-1. The Spanish side scored in the dying minutes of the match with the efforts of Jose Gaya.

Werner was substituted off in the injury time while Antonio Rüdiger played the full match. Kai Havertz didn’t get the opportunity to play.

Germany head coach Joachim Low said: “I am satisfied with what I saw. Our boys gave it their all right to the end.

“It was an intense and hard-fought match – both teams put a lot into the match.

For me, it was important not to let Spain play and in my opinion we had the better chances. In the second half it was tough to keep the pressure up.”
