Reece’s injury has made the Chelsea boss concerned over his fitness.
Chelsea’s official website announced the England international has been withdrawn and won’t play the Euro qualifiers against Kosovo and Austria.
The fans will hope this to be a precautionary decision by Reece to get left out of the squad.
Reece showed brilliant link-ups with the new Chelsea star, Hakim Ziyech in the recent friendly match.
The Chelsea Right back is known for his crossing abilities and is also excited to start a consistent partnership with Ziyech in Chelsea.
“Nice feeling to get some minutes in the legs today,” Reece wrote on his Instagram after the pre-season friendly match.
“The link-up started today,” he added while also mentioning Hakim Ziyech’s Instagram account.
Although Ben Chilwell’s presence in the squad might provide some relief. There will be no issue to play him on the left side along with Cesar Azpilicueta on the right.
Chelsea will be playing their first Premier League game of the season against Brighton on 14th September.
