Inter Milan is reported to be interested in Chelsea’s left-back, Emerson Palmieri. Inter’s coach, Antonio Conte is keen to sign the Italian left-back in order to strengthen his team’s backline on the left side.
Emerson was bought from AS Roma in 2018 when Antonio Conte was in charge of Chelsea. He struggled with his form and failed to gain a permanent spot in the left-back position. His inconsistency led the current Chelsea Boss, Frank Lampard to sign Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.
This didn’t affect his market value as both European giants Juventus and Inter Milan showed interested in him. Both the clubs are suffering in their respective left-back positions and think the Italian’s arrival may fix the problem.
But it is Conte’s Inter who looks to be in the lead to sign the left-back. The Chelsea board is not reluctant to keep the Italian Left-back too after the summer signing of Chilwell.
Lampard and co. wants £26 million from Inter Milan according to reports.
“Is it possible that he will leave Chelsea? Yes, this possibility exists. I have not yet spoken to the club. I can only say that Inter is interested in the player. We will see”-said Emerson’s agent.
Offloading Emerson will surely raise some funds for the Blues after spending over £250 million this summer and they won’t mind either.
