Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte demands a re-union with Chelsea’s midfielder N’golo Kante.
The Football Italia reports that Conte wants to get the French midfielder at any cost and has asked this Italian club to make a move for him.
On Konte’s demands, Inter is keen to sign the 29-year-old midfielder on loan with an option to buy him permanently at €50million (£44.5m).
The Italian coach speaks highly of the Word Cup winner midfielder and he was the one who bought him to Chelsea.
He was the Chelsea manager when he lured Kante from Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City to join his squad. The move from the Premier League winners saw a signing at just €36m in 2016.
Inter’s interest on Kante came when they failed to land Brescia’s midfielder, Sandro Tonali. Tonali joined the AC Milan club leaving Antonio Conte desperate for a quality midfielder.
Chelsea’s midfielder has now fallen down the pecking order due to the likes of new summer signings. He is 29 years old and Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard might allow him to leave the Stamford Bridge to fund in some cash according to reports.
No doubt the experienced French international was one of Chelsea’s crucial players but the board is asked to take stern decisions. The fans think that Mateo Kovacic is the perfect heir to his midfield throne and won’t make the team feel his absence.
Whether Lampard will let him go or not, Conte’s desperation might lead the negotiations to go till the last day of the transfer season.
