Chelsea’s summer signing Timo Werner scored his debut goal in a pre-season friendly against Brighton.
The move started with the ex-Ajax man, Hakim Ziyech. The talented attacker’s vision saw Callum Hudson Odoi making a run in the Brighton penalty box.
Werner followed Hudson’s header and slid the ball through Mat Ryan’s legs.

“I was training on my own for a while when I first signed, but I’ve been working with the whole team over the past week or so and it’s been great,” the former RB Leipzig striker said before his debut game for Chelsea against Brighton.
“It was strange at first [when I arrived] because you just want to work hard, meet all the team, and get straight to it on the training field but I had to be patient.
“I’m very happy that the league starts in two weeks and I’m excited to test myself in the Premier League,”he added.
Werner was signed from RB Leipzig which saw Chelsea completing a £47.5m summer move.
The German international made 43 appearances for his ex-club where he netted 32 goals and completed 13 assists in total.
