Chelsea FC have indicated their keen desire to sell out-of-favor left-back Emerson Palmieri all summer, however, recent reports suggest that the Blues are seeking a £26 million offer to let go of the Italian international.
With Leicester City star Ben Chilwell expected to sign for Frank Lampard’s side in the coming days, Emerson’s future in the Chelsea FC shirt is all but over heading into the 2020-21 season. The full-back had not enjoyed the most productive of times for the club last season and had failed to impress Lampard with his displays on the pitch.
As a result, the 26-year old is believed to be very close to the exit door at Stamford Bridge amid interest from a number of Serie A sides. Inter Milan, despite being considered the frontrunner in the race to sign Emerson, are being battled by Juventus and Napoli for the left-backs signature.
Reports indicate Lampard’s inclination towards keeping Marcos Alonso at the club to provide competition to Chilwell who is expected to be a £50 million worth signing for the west London club. The Spaniard will deputies for the 23-year old English international amid strong rumors that Chilwell’s transfer will be confirmed by Chelsea FC later this week.
