Out-of-favor Blues forward Michy Batshuayi remains a prime target for a number of Premier League clubs heading into the close of the summer transfer window. The Belgian international has fallen massively down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge over the course of last season.
Now considered a fourth-choice striker at Frank Lampard’s disposal following the arrival of Timo Werner at the Blues, Batshuayi will be keen on sealing a move elsewhere ahead of the 2020-21 season. According to reports, the 26-year old has intentions of playing in England only following his Chelsea FC exit.
Premier League newbies Leeds United are considered a frontrunner to sign the Belgian attacker this summer. Marcelo Bielsa’s side are tipped to make a move for Batshuayi in a deal worth €25 million, a potential record fee for the Whites.
Leeds are set to offer the player a guaranteed starting role in the club’s starting XI come next season. Batshuayi would undoubtedly be keen on greater first-team involvement in the hope with the hope of making Belgium’s squad for next year’s UEFA Euros in mind.
Additional reports suggest that Newcastle United too remain interested in signing the Chelsea FC forward. However, the Magpies have considered making a season-long loan approach for the Belgian international.
