A mind-blowing throwback picture has been posted on Chelsea FC’s Instagram profile that shows current stars Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount as youngsters back in 2010. The pair who were both 11 at the time are seen side-by-side in the picture that was taken at the Blues’ Cobham training facility.
Mount had been a fixture at the Chelsea FC youth academy since the age of six, eventually getting his break in the club’s first-team squad this season under Frank Lampard. The English international had spent the past two seasons on loan spells away from Stamford Bridge at Vitesse and Derby County.
Meanwhile, Pulisic was never a part of the Blues academy at Cobham, however, was on a visit to the training facility when the picture was taken. The now 21-year old signed on for Chelsea FC last year from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in a £58 million transfer deal.
Both youngsters have emerged as an integral part of Frank Lampard’s setup at Stamford Bridge. The duo’s solid run of form post the restart of the Premier League was critical towards the Blues ensuring a top-four finish in the league campaign.
As a result of their great showings on the pitch for Chelsea FC, both Mount and Pulisic have been shortlisted for the Premier League Young Player of the Year honor.
