According to recent reports, Chelsea FC frontman Christian Pulisic is likely to be ruled out for as many as five weeks after sustaining a hamstring blow in last week’s FA Cup final loss to Arsenal. The American, who had scored the opening goal of the game for his side, had to be taken off the pitch later in the evening.
It is rumored that the Blues will be unable to call upon their in-form attacker until the commencement of the 2020-21 season. Pulisic had been brilliant for Frank Lampard’s side of late, particularly since the resumption of league football in mid-June. The upcoming Premier League campaign is set to get underway on 12th September.
Chelsea FC boss Frank Lampard had confirmed following his side’s loss at the Wembley Stadium last Saturday that Pulisic will not be fit to face Bayern Munich in the Blues’ upcoming tie against the German giants later this week in the Champions League.
However, the Blues manager is yet to further comment upon his player’s extent of injury troubles. Lampard is tipped to give further insight into Pulisic’s hamstring blow in the pre-match conference on Friday, prior to the game against Bayern.
The 21-year old American international took to Instagram to voice his hope of getting back on the pitch as soon as possible. Pulisic also thanked Chelsea FC supporters for their ardent backing all through the Blues’ domestic campaign that came to an end last week.
