Barcelona and Chelsea may be keen to do business as it pertains to the swap deal involving both sides in the transfer window.
The transfer ban lifted on Chelsea has offered them the chance to make signings. Here, could the Catalans gain more than Chelsea or would the Blues be of more benefit than the Spanish outfit.
The players are significant figures for their respective clubs but the deal could see both parties part ways with their prized assets. However, while Barcelona is keen to let go of the Brazilian playmaker Coutinho, it is yet to be known if Chelsea would be willing to do the same with N’golo Kante.
The influential midfielder is worth the stay at Chelsea but Barcelona is bent on selling Coutinho in order to raise funds for his possible move to Camp Nou.
Who would win the race between both sides as we continue to monitor the possible swap deal between these two players?
Barcelona would trade anything to get Kante as the midfielder’s pace could enhance the Catalans free-flowing movement in midfield.
If the swap deal pulls through between both sides (Chelsea and Barcelona) then the latter would be at an advantage.
Losing Kante would be a case study for Chelsea as they would have to find a replacement which could be difficult. Barcelona is in the deal with Chelsea thus presenting Philippe Coutinho to the Blues in exchange for the defensive midfielder Kante.
Frank Lampard and his side should be wise in their transfer dealing with Barcelona as they may find it difficult to replace N’golo Kante. While the addition of Coutinho to any side would be a mouth-watering offer based on the Brazilian’s quality.
On the other hand, Kante’s significance to Chelsea is enormous. It could only be a player of Messi’s status and quality that could be worth the exchange. Chelsea losing star midfielder N’golo Kante in the summer would be a ball game for Frank Lampard’s men.
With possible alternative for Chelsea in that position, Jorginho linked with a likely move away from Stamford Bridge to join Juventus, Chelsea could be in a big hit if they lose Kante in the midfield.
Barcelona could certainly gain from this swap deal as it gifts them with the chance to resign Neymar Jnr. from PSG. The Blues would be the ones losing if they do business with Barcelona. They should not let their prized asset in French World Cup winner Kante leave for Coutinho.
