As Burnley visits this weekend Chelsea will be coming into the match on the back of their 2-0 win against Nottingham forest. The result against the championship side might below key as had been expected from the Blues against such (lesser) opposition.
All the same, the host will be aiming to build on the positive result as they host Sean Dyche’s side this weekend.
With these match enumerations, we take a look at the three things to expect as Burnley lock horns against Chelsea.
FRANK LAMPARD RESHUFFLING
As Burnley play Chelsea, the Blues boss will be expected to make a certain adjustment to his side as no two games are the same.
Burnley brings something different in terms of quality and character and Lampard is expected to fix his team appropriately so as to march the visiting sides.
These changes may be due to tactical reformation or for injury reasons as the match looms in earnest at the Bridge.
BURNLEY RELEGATION FURY
The fact that Burnley has not had the best of the season presents a bone of contention ahead of this game. They will aim to redeem their current position as they travel to London this weekend.
The Turf Moor side is in a relegation dilemma and they will not take it easy on the Blues at home. Sean Dyche would motivate his troops bearing in mind that Chelsea is not invincible after all.
Frank Lampard and Chelsea must be ready for Burnley antics as we have seen from Sean Dyche’s in the past
MAXIMUM POINTS AT HOME
The Blues would have it all to do against Burnley not minding the condition that surrounds the visitors prior to this game.
However, all eyes would be on the host as they have got the quality to get over this one. Despite dropping points against Brighton and Hove Albion on the New Year day as both sides drew 1-1 on the day, Lampard’s side will be expected to pick the three points at all costs.
Players like Hudson-Odoi, Ross Barkley (goal scorers against Nottingham forest) and Tammy Abraham will fancy their chance for exploitation against Burnley.
