Chelsea v West Ham Predicted Line Up and Preview : EPL 19/20

Chelsea face West Ham on Saturday at Stamford Bridge looking to get back to winning ways after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad last Saturday.

The blues will be without leading goalscorer Tammy Abraham, who was forced off at Valencia after landing awkwardly on his hip. Abraham has been in superb form since establishing himself as first choice at Chelsea this season, scoring 12 goals for club and country.

Michy Batshuayi who came on at half time against Valencia is likely to replace Abraham in the starting line up although Lampard might look to give Olivier Giroud some game time particularly after Batshuayi failed to impress against Valencia.

Antonio Rudiger and Ross Barkley are back in training following lay-offs, while Callum Hudson-Odoi will also be monitored after a hamstring injury. Chelsea are unbeaten in the last 13 home Premier League meetings with West Ham (nine wins, four draws) since a 2-3 loss in September 2002.

Mason Mount could return to the first team against West Ham after dropping to the bench for the past two matches as he recovers from an ankle injury.Mount’s inclusion might come at the expense of Kovacic or Jorginho both of whom have been impressive this season.

Reece James started at right-back against Valencia but could miss out if Cesar Azpilicueta switches back to his natural position and the fit-again Emerson Palmieri returns but Lampard might be tempted to keep James at right back after his performance against Valencia.

Tomori who missed out against Valencia is likely to replace Christensen alongside Zouma with the two forming an impressive partnership this season.

West Ham meanwhile have failed to win any of their last eight games in all competitions, losing six, and have tumbled down the Premier League table from fifth to 17th. Pellegrini will be without Lukasz Fabianski, Manuel Lanzini and Jack Wilshere for the trip to Stamford Bridge

Likely line up (4-3-3): Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson; Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic; Mount, Pulisic, Batshuayi
