Chelsea Need To Find Their X Factor Claims Former Blues star

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Quique de Lucas has admitted that the West London outfit and Frank Lampard need to find their star player in order to become successful.

The Blues have not had a great start to the new Premier League season as they have managed only one win, two draws and suffered one defeat as well in the opening four games in England’s top flight. New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard needs to sort out his winning formulae quickly or might face the wrath of his predecessors by getting sacked by the board.

The 41-year-old has handpicked a bunch of young talents and given them the opportunity to showcase their ability for Chelsea on the big stage. Although it is proving to be quite efficient so far, they are clearly missing Belgian forward Eden Hazard who left for Real Madrid in the summer.

The 28-year-old was the clubs talisman and their best player in the attacking third but Hazard’s dream was to play for Real Madrid. Chelsea also faced a transfer ban which does not allow them to sign any players during the next two transfer windows.

And former Chelsea midfielder Quique de Lucas has advised Lampard to figure out his best player if the club is to become successful.

While speaking to The Athletic, the 41-year-old Spaniard said that American youngster Christian Pulisic could become that player but it’s difficult because nobody really has the experience in attack, “They don’t have that star figure we had on the pitch in Zola, That is worrying. They need to find it. Chelsea needs to find that X-factor. Maybe it will be Christian Pulisic. It’s difficult. No-one has that experience.”
