Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has admitted that Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki is the most complete striker and he has been most impressed with the Finnish forward this season.
The Blues haven’t had a great start to the new Premier League season as they have accumulated only five points out of a possible 12 so far in four matches. Frank Lampard’s only win of the season came against newly promoted Norwich City in a 3-2 win at Carrow Road a few weeks ago.
But Chelsea star Jorginho was extremely impressed by Norwich star Teemu Pukki, who is currently topping the charts for the top scorer in the Premier League. Pukki scored 29 times for Norwich City last season helping them to promotion from the Championship and has been continuing his goal scoring exploits in England’s top division as well.
Pukki grabbed an assist and a goal against Chelsea and led the line for Finland as well during their Euro 2020 Qualifiers against Italy. Although the Italians came out 2-1 winners thanks to Jorginho’s penalty, the Chelsea star was in awe of Pukki.
While speaking to reporters after the game Jorginho had only praise for the Norwich City forward, “He is their most important player, but we should keep a close eye on all of them, Finland is not a surprise, as the quality of their players is evident and they work as a team”
The 27-year-old Jorginho also stated that Pukki is a complete striker in terms of all of his attributes, “Pukki has a bit of everything, which makes him a complete striker. He times his runs well, is very intelligent in his positioning, runs hard, presses opponents and never stops moving. He protects the ball, can provide assists, he really is dangerous. It’s no coincidence that he’s the current Premier League, top scorer.”
