According to the latest reports, Chelsea star Michael Hector will officially join London rivals Fulham in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Hector arrived at Chelsea back in September 2015 from Reading but failed to make a single senior appearance for the Blues so far since joining the Premier League club.
Hector has subsequently spent time back on loan with the Royals and has had stints with German side Eintracht Frankfurt, Hull City, and Sheffield Wednesday as part of Chelsea’s loan army.
The Jamaican international has signed a contract with Fulham which will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2022 and he impressed heavily at Sheffield United on loan last term.
The west London club has the option to extend Hector’s stay at Fulham by another year.
Hector will begin training with Fulham immediately ahead of his move to the other side of London to help the Championship side to Premier League promotion.
Vice-chairman and director of football operations at Fulham Tony Khan officially told the club’s website. “Although Michael can’t officially join until January, what’s important is he’s now a member of Fulham Michael will help us challenge for promotion and make us better in the second half of the season at a time when depth, experience, and quality will be at a premium in the Championship.”
