Tammy Abraham Disappointed With Sheffield United Result

Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has insisted that he feels disheartened following the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The 21-year-old striker has been in great goalscoring form for Chelsea as he netted another brace two games in a row to give his side a 2-0 lead at half time at Stamford Bridge earlier this weekend against Sheffield United. However, lapses in concentration allowed the visiting team to get back into the game and snatch a late equalizer which made them share the spoils.

Frank Lampard’s side now has five points in four games and the only silver lining from the game was Abraham’s performance. The young forward has been stepping up his game over the past few weeks following his penalty miss in the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool earlier last month.

And Abraham spoke of his disappointment that Chelsea wasn’t able to hold on to their lead after a late sting by Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United, “We are all disappointed with this draw. We’re Chelsea and no team should be able to come here and play better than us, and Sheffield United was better than us in the second half. It wasn’t good enough from all of us. I take responsibility as well as being one of the players out there. We were gifted two goals in the first half by Sheffield and from there we should have killed the game off, come out in the second half and upset the opposition. We know Sheffield United will always fight till the end.”
