Bakayoko To Move To Monaco On Loan

According to the latest reports, Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has agreed on terms for rejoining Monaco on loan – with a £31.8million permanent switch lined up. The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at AC Milan and was impressive towards the end of the season after initially struggling to adjust under former Milan coach Gattuso. Milan was not able to make Bakayoko’s loan stay permanent after they failed to make it into the Champions League and were kicked out of the Europa League due to Financial Fair Play(FFP) issues.

The midfielder returned to Chelsea and was involved in Chelsea’s pre-season but was surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard with Chelsea well stocked in the middle of the park with the likes of Jorginho, Kovacic, Kante, and others.

Chelsea signed Bakayoko from Monaco for 40 million pounds in the summer of 2017 and will hope to recoup as much of the transfer fee as they can.

Monaco is second bottom in Ligue 1 and Bakayoko faces a tough task in raising the clubs fortunes.
