Tammy Abraham To Be Offered New Deal

Chelsea has reportedly offered Tammy Abraham a new contract work £100,000 week.

Tammy Abraham who scored a brace against Norwich last Saturday earns around £50,000 and will double his wages if he signs a new contract.

Tammy Abraham will be the third academy graduate to sign a new contract this season after Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek both signed long term deals at the start of the season with Callum Hudon-Odoi reportedly close to signing a lucrative deal at the club.

Chelsea this season have placed their faith in the academy graduates this season after a two transfer window ban. Lampard rates Tammy Abraham very highly and will hope that Abraham can be the 20 goals a season forward that Chelsea desperately craves, Diego Costa was the last striker to score twenty goals in a single season in the premier league and Chelsea have struggled to replace him after he was sold to Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain both of whom could not flops and were shipped out. Olivier Giroud who is the second choice striker behind Tammy Abraham is great linking up the play and holding the ball up but does not score goals regularly which is important at a top 6 club in the premier league.

The striker position has been a problem for years at Chelsea with only Didier Drogba and Diego Costa really establishing themselves at the club. Other flops included Fernando Torres, Shevchenko, Falcao.

Tammy Abraham who scored his first two goals for Chelsea at Norwich has the pace to run in behind defenders but needs to learn to hold the ball up and link up play better,Abraham at 21 years of age has time to improve but will know that Chelsea patience runs very thin and with Chelsea being able to sign players next season Abraham will need to have a big season if Chelsea are going to keep faith in him.
