According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea are monitoring Girona striker Artem Dovbyk as they seek additional attacking reinforcements this summer.
The Ukranian ace has been in fine form for the La Liga outfit with 16 goals this season. He has been one of the reasons Girona are in red-hot form in the Spanish top flight and are poised to finish in the top four this campaign.
Dovbyk’s strong physical qualities and aerial presence suit the Premier League’s intense style of play. The Blues have been inconsistent up front this season with Cole Palmer being the lone regular goalscorer for his club.
The youngster being a versatile attacker has taken up the burden of scoring the majority of the goals for Chelsea. He has 24 goal contributions in 25 PL games this season (16 goals and eight assists).

The West London club signed Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal as Romelu Lukaku’s replacement. However, the African striker has failed to live up to the standards and contribute through attack.
Hence, the Blues are linked with various strikers with Victor Osimhen being the No.1 target. But the Napoli star’s asking price is colossal and this has shifted Todd Boehly’s attention towards Girona striker Dovbyk.
He is valued at £39 million by his parent club and it remains to be seen whether his value skyrockets in the upcoming months. By looking at his scoring rate, the Spanish club will ask for a decent sum for the 26-year-old.
Chelsea are under pressure at the moment due to their underwhelming performance in the PL and zero silverware this campaign. They are on course to end this season on a sour note with limited contributions in attack.

If they continue with this same team, then they might face a similar situation next season. Pochettino will be targeting top players in attack and relieve the burden off Palmer.
Dovbyk has already topped La Liga’s scoring charts alongside Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham. We believe that he has the qualities to raise Chelsea’s attacking performance but his asking price remains a mystery until now.
