Chelsea has been hit with a transfer ban as we all know following excessive signing and loaning of players which have the case over the years at the Club. This has affected the group (Chelsea) and the club financially even as player’s career continues to go down without hope for the future.
This has seen the London club breach some of the financial regulations. The club wasn’t given the benefit of the doubt as they failed appeals for the transfer ban which they want to be lifted from their shoulders. The club might have appointed club legend Frank Lampard as the new boss but how well Frank and Chelsea handle the transfer ban would be key ahead of the new season. On this note, we take a look at why the Chelsea (transfer) ban is a blessing to the London club.
Financial Subsidy for Chelsea-
Chelsea’s financial budget has been boosted by this sort of punishment even as Super (8) Frank (as the new Chelsea boss is fondly called) finds a way to navigate his side to a suitable position in the League this season. The club stands the chance to recover lost grounds on expenses made on player sales including sign-on fees attached to player’s signature.
The same goes for loan fees for players sent on loan as they maintain financial equilibrium (equivalence) along with top clubs in Europe. Abramovich would have little to do via spending on players leaving the Russian Billionaire to concentrate on other budgets possibly on player’s wages with the hope to maximize income for future advancement at the club.
Respite for Chelsea’s Academy-
The Blues academy stands the chance in the scenario as this will boost their chance for first-team football in the new season. But this is largely be hinged on Lampard’s final decision as the Chelsea boss access his player in pre-season friendlies. Over the years Chelsea’s youth team have been neglected to the core making it difficult for academy product to grow and flourish at Stamford Bridge. This looks to change now thanks to Chelsea transfer ban even as the loanees fancy their chances at Chelsea this season. It remains to be seen if the Chelsea youth will capitalize on this even as former Chelsea star Floyd Hasselbaink is not satisfied with the performance of some of the young guns in a recent game.
Low Pressure and Expectation-
With Chelsea’s inability to make a major signing summer acquisition, much may not be expected from the London side as compared in the past season with big-name signings at the club. This will be the case at Stamford Bridge as players like Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Juventus’s Gonzalo Higuaín left the club in the summer.
This leaves the Blues and manager Frank Lampard with three strikers in Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and youngster Tammy Abraham, despite interest linking the player (Tammy) to other clubs. Chelsea’s expectation for the season would be low-key as they aim to qualify for Champions League with a chance in the title race. This would be an undue advantage for the club as Lampard’s new Chelsea revolution is set to flourish despite (Eden) Hazard’s exit which may have created a void expected to be filled by any of the Chelsea players in due time.
