According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are currently making efforts to offload four players before embarking on their pre-season tour in the United States.
As of now, Chelsea have already completed the sales of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Edouard Mendy, Abdul Baba Rahman, Mateo Kovacic, and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Blues have seen the departures of N’Golo Kante and Cesar Azpilicueta on free transfers, while Tiemoue Bakayoko has left following the expiration of his contract.
However, there are still several players that Chelsea aims to sell, including Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Romelu Lukaku.
These players have expressed their desire to leave the club, and manager Mauricio Pochettino is unwilling to train players who do not want to be at Stamford Bridge.
Ziyech was on the verge of a move to Saudi Arabia, but the deal fell through. This mirrored a similar situation in January when a proposed transfer to Paris Saint-Germain also collapsed for the Moroccan attacker.
Pulisic has attracted interest from AC Milan in Serie A. Although the clubs have differing valuations, their good working relationship could potentially aid in finalizing the deal.
Aubameyang had expressed hope for a return to Barcelona, but the club’s recent signing of Vitor Roque and their financial constraints make it unlikely.
There have been reports of offers for the Gabonese striker from the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer (MLS), but he prefers to stay in Europe.
Lukaku has also received an offer from the Saudi Pro League, but his desire is to return to Inter Milan. Unfortunately, Inter Milan is currently unable to make a substantial offer to Chelsea due to financial constraints.
Chelsea also needs to resolve transfers for Callum Hudson-Odoi, Malang Sarr, and Ethan Ampadu.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino aims to have his squad sorted out before Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the United States, scheduled for later this month.
