Napoli is aiming to secure a contract extension with Chelsea target Victor Osimhen, but club president Aurelio de Laurentiis has stated that they would be open to considering an irresistible offer for the striker during the summer transfer window.
After an impressive season at Napoli, the Nigerian striker has attracted the attention of several top European clubs.
Manchester United and Chelsea have both shown interest in signing the striker, as they prioritize bolstering their attacking options.
Bayern Munich has also considered a move for Osimhen as they seek a long-term solution upfront. The Serie A champions recently appointed Rudi Garcia as their new head coach, with Luciano Spalletti taking a year-long break from football.

During Garcia’s unveiling, club president Aurelio de Laurentiis provided an update on Osimhen’s future, suggesting that an exit could be possible if a substantial offer is received. As reported by the Metro, he stated :
“We have an agreement in principle with Victor Osimhen to extend his contract for two more years. In case an exorbitant bid impossible to reject arrives, we will see and make the best decision for the club.”
Napoli’s valuation of £130 million has made it difficult for potential suitors to pursue a deal for the striker.
Chelsea, who are also in search of a new number nine, may benefit from the potential sales of Hakim Ziyech to Al-Nassr, Kalidou Koulibaly to Al-Hilal, and Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahli, as these funds could potentially boost their transfer budget.
The Blues are close to securing a deal for Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson and it has been stated that they could still target Osimhen this summer.
