AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is said to be not interested in sealing a move to Chelsea this summer given their absence from the Champions League next season.
The Blues are on the hunt for a new face to slot between the goalposts after a disastrous 2022-23 campaign which saw them finish 12th in the Premier League and force the owners to sack two managers over the course of the year.
Maignan, who has been a stellar figure for the Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan in recent times, was tipped to be one of the names on Chelsea’s summer shopping list on the back of a remarkable debut campaign at the San Siro.
According to a report from Foot Mercato ( via Goal), however, it is claimed that the French shot-stopper will not be on the move this summer with the opportunity to sign for Chelsea not of interest to him.
Chelsea are expected to part ways with both first-team goalkeepers – Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga- over the summer although a move away from the Bridge for the latter appears difficult due to his high wages.
