Mauricio Pochettino reportedly has Inter Milan talisman Lautaro Martinez at the top of his striker wish-list ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window.
Chelsea are certain to dip into the market for a new face to bolster their under-fire front line and it is said that Martinez is one of the names on their shopping list following his stellar campaign at San Siro.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that the incoming Blues manager Pochettino is keen on the Inter Milan frontman who is also subject to serious interest from Pochettino’s old club Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs are on the search for a new striker as they look to line up a replacement for the wantaway Harry Kane but the North London outfit could have to see their former manager swoop in for Martinez when he makes the move to Stamford Bridge.
Martinez has scored 20 goals this season in top flight football and is only behind Napoli star Victor Osimhen on the goalscoring list with the latter suggested to be another name on Pochettino’s shortlist of candidates.
