Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel ahead of the summer transfer window.
Both Premier League heavyweights are in the market for a new shot-stopper, with Chelsea prepared to part ways with Kepa and Edouard Mendy, while Manchester United are involved in a contract standoff with David de Gea.
According to a report from The Independent, it is claimed that Dortmund are hoping to tie down Kobel to a new long-term deal amid talk of interest in his services from the Premier League gaining ground.
Kobel’s current contract with Dortmund is not due to expire until 2026 but the 25-year-old Switzerland international could be lured to making the move to the English top flight with big clubs keeping a close eye on developments.
Chelsea will be expected to overhaul their squad after a disappointing season and the new ownership at Stamford Bridge, who are closing in on the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino to the managerial role, will have a new goalkeeper on their priority list.
