Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly planning to sign his former player Achraf Hakimi for Chelsea who are edging closer to appointing the Argentine coach to the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
The Blues are said to be in the final stages of discussions with Pochettino with the ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager willing to take over as the permanent Chelsea boss this summer when the interim boss Frank Lampard leaves.
According to a report from TEAMtalk ( via The Express), it is claimed that Paris Saint-Germain wing-back Hakimi is a top name on the shopping list for Pochettino who has coached him during his stint in the French capital city.
Hakimi has been made available by the Ligue 1 giants PSG and Chelsea and Manchester United are both keen to acquire his signature this summer after the former Real Madrid starlet’s impressive displays.
Chelsea’s first-choice right back Reece James has endured his struggles with recurring injury problems this term with a hamstring issue sidelining him for the remainder of the season and the Blues want to reinforce their backline with a new signing.
