Chelsea will not allow defender Levi Colwill to leave in the summer amid Liverpool and Manchester City eyeing up a move for the Chelsea loanee.
The 20-year-old defender has impressed during his loan spell with Brighton this season and ahead of his return to Stamford Bridge this summer, his future at the club had been the subject of much speculation.
According to a report from The Independent, the sought after Colwill will be staying put in west London with Chelsea not willing to sanction an exit as they mull over the youngster’s entry to the first-team set-up.
Colwill had a fantastic loan stint with Huddersfield Town ahead of the 2021/22 season where he helped them reach the Championship play-offs final and his ongoing spell in the Brighton shirt has also been a successful one.
The England U21 international was linked with a move to Liverpool this summer as Jurgen Klopp was planning for a rebuild of his team while the Premier League holders Manchester City were also keeping tabs on him.
