West Ham United are reportedly looking to move in for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher as the Hammers seek a replacement for Declan Rice this summer.
Rice is all but certain to leave the London Stadium when the transfer window reopens for business later this year and West Ham are on the search for viable replacements to fill that void in the centre of the park.
According to a report from the Evening Standard, West Ham are keen on the Blues first-teamer Gallagher and Manchester City man Kalvin Phillips who came close to signing for them in last year’s January transfer window.
Gallagher, meanwhile, has been linked with an exit from the Chelsea camp this summer with the England midfielder looking to earn regular game time after staying put at the Bridge earlier this year despite interest from other clubs in his services.
Liverpool were the latest club to have been credited with an interest in signing the former Crystal Palace loanee who has failed to cement a berth on the team sheet week in and week out this season.
