Arsenal have reportedly zeroed in on Chelsea favourite Declan Rice as their first-choice midfield target for this summer’s transfer window.
The North London giants, who are leading the Premier League standings by eight points heading towards the final stage of the competition, are thought to be keen to sign a new midfielder before the next season gets underway.
Chelsea’s long standing target Rice has emerged on the radar at the Emirates Stadium and recent reports have suggested that the Blues could be pipped to the England international’s signing by their city rivals Arsenal later this year.
According to a report from Football Insider, it is claimed that the Gunners are ready to make an offer worth £100 million to land Rice’s signature with the Premier League table toppers growing in confidence that they can pull off the coveted transfer.
Rice has entered the final 15 months of his current contract with West Ham United and the midfielder has make it clear that he wants to play in the Champions League next season, putting his big-name suitors on alert.
