Chelsea are keen to move in for AC Milan first-teamer Brahim Diaz but face hefty competition from other Premier League clubs to secure the transfer.
The Real Madrid loanee, who is playing his third year at San Siro, could be made available by his parent club over the summer and this development has put some of England’s biggest sides on red alert.
It is said that Real want to recoup the £23.5 million fee they paid to sign Diaz from Manchester City back in 2019 but Milan are looking to strike a deal in the region of £21 million to land his signature on a permanent basis in the summer window.
According to a report from The Mirror ( via The Express), it is claimed that Chelsea and Newcastle United are the contenders for the Spanish forward who could be eyeing a return to the English shores later this year.
Adding to speculation over Diaz’s future at the Bernabeu is the fact that the current boss Carlo Ancelotti, who has deemed the former surplus to requirements, could be set to stay put with Real for another season.
