Chelsea are locked in a three-way contest for signing Napoli dangerman Victor Osimhen with the Blues joined by Manchester City and Manchester United in pursuit of the Serie A star.
Osimhen’s name has attracted interest from some of the biggest clubs across the continent following his heroics at Napoli this season with 19 goals in 22 Serie A outings for the former Lille man.
❗️News #Osimhen: Massive season & focussed on the next step.
➡️ Been told City, #CFC, #PSG & #MUFC are all in! Different talks took place. #MCFC inquired although they have Haaland/Alvarez.
➡️ No topic for Bayern. Transfer fee of at least €100m not feasible. @SkySportDE 🇳🇬 pic.twitter.com/mGc5W7B3SY— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) March 13, 2023
According to a report from Sky Germany, it is claimed that despite Manchester United’s strong interest in moving in for the Napoli striker, Chelsea and Manchester City are also waiting in the wings for Osimhen ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
The Blues have lacked goals this season which has proven to be a disappointing one at Stamford Bridge despite the change of managers and co-owner Todd Boehly could be looking to bring in a new number nine for his squad over the summer.
However, unless Chelsea fail to make it the Champions League next season, landing the in-demand Osimhen could be a tricky affair for the west London giants with other heavyweight clubs keeping tabs on him.
