Chelsea want to sign on-loan forward Joao Felix on a permanent transfer and add West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice to the ranks this summer to bolster their squad.
Felix has impressed since his arriving on loan in the January window with the Portuguese striker providing that extra impetus for Graham Potter’s Blues in the attacking third of the pitch.
Rice, meanwhile, remains one of the top names on the wishlist for the Chelsea board ahead of this summer’s transfer window as the England midfielder is sure to leave the West Ham fold to sign for a bigger club.
According to a report from the Spanish publication Fichajes, it is claimed that Chelsea are keen to make Felix’s loan from Atletico Madrid a permanent transfer and also eye up a move for Rice to strengthen the engine room.
West Ham are hoping to collect a British transfer record fee should they green light Rice’s exit from the club as the competition heats up between the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City for the 24-year-old’s signature.
