Chelsea are said to be interested in signing Manchester City loanee Joao Cancelo this summer when he returns from his spell with Bayern Munich.
With the Blues likely to dip into the market over the summer for a new left back after recent signing Marc Cucurella has failed to impress in his debut campaign, Cancelo could be one name on Graham Potter’s shopping list.
The Portugal international fell out of favour with the City manager Pep Guardiola who sanctioned his move to Bundesliga giants Bayern on loan until the end of the season but the German club does not plan to trigger his €70 million buy option.
According to a report from 90min, it is claimed that Manchester City’s arch rivals Chelsea are keeping tabs on Cancelo and the west London outfit could be ready to listen to offers for English wing-back Ben Chilwell who is understood to be wanted by City.
Cancelo’s preference is to remain with Bayern with the defender adapting to life with the Bavarian side in a fantastic manner as the City loanee has racked up two assists in his first three outings.
