Juventus are willing to offer Denis Zakaria to Chelsea this summer in a swap involving Mateo Kovacic who will be going in the opposite direction to Turin.
Zakaria signed for the Blues last summer on deadline day in a loan deal until the end of the season and has put out some solid displays in recent times following a slow start to life in the English capital.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato Web, it is claimed that Chelsea are not expected to give the nod to Juventus’ offer with Kovacic one of the first names on manager Graham Potter’s teamsheet.
Kovacic has struggled for fitness this season but he remains a key name in the Chelsea fold even as the club snapped up Argentina World Cup star Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in the January window for a British record fee.
With Chelsea already parting ways with the long-serving midfielder Jorginho who signed for Arsenal on deadline day last month, Kovacic’s exit could further deplete the midfield roster at Potter’s disposal.
