Chelsea tempted to green light Conor Gallagher’s exit on loan this month

Chelsea are growing increasingly tempted to green light Conor Gallagher’s exit on loan this month before the transfer window deadline day.

The English midfielder has struggled to ensure regular game time under his belt and could be on the move soon in search of first-team football with Crystal Palace and Newcastle United both said to be interested in signing him.

According to a report from Caught Offside, it is claimed that the Blues, who would ideally look to part ways with Gallagher in a loan deal, could consider letting him leave on a permanent transfer should the right offer come in.

The 22-year-old Gallagher enjoyed a stellar loan spell at Crystal Palace last term but has been a shadow of his previous self since his return to Stamford Bridge in the summer amid expectations that he could emerge as a mainstay for the Blues.

Chelsea are expected to consider an offer in the region of £35-40 million to allow the midfield talent to head out the exit door at the Bridge on a permanent basis with the January window slamming shut in the coming days.
