Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is understood to be in talks with Roma over a move to the Serie A giants before the transfer window’s deadline day later this month.
The 29-year-old attacker is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the January window with no shortage of suitors for Ziyech following his stellar displays at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the semi-finalists Morroco.
With the Blues bringing in several new faces this month to overhaul the squad at Graham Potter’s disposal, Ziyech’s already limited game time is likely to be curtailed further which could set the stage for his exit from the club.
According to a report from The Sun, it is claimed that Roma boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Ziyech for his side with the player himself open to the idea of turning out for the ex-Chelsea manager in the Serie A.
Ziyech has 2.5 years still left to his contract at Stamford Bridge and his wage demands, which have put off clubs like AC Milan and Ajax Amsterdam in the past, are expected to come up as a stumbling block in his negotiations with Roma.
