Chelsea’s pursuit of England under-21 winger Noni Madueke is not expected to materialise in the ongoing January transfer window following Liverpool’s business earlier this month with PSV.
Madueke piles his trade for the Dutch giants who had parted ways with talisman Cody Gakpo with Liverpool snapping up the exciting Holland international forward for a fee that could rise to £50 million.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is claimed that the Blues could be declined the opportunity to bring Madueke to Stamford Bridge with PSV set to retain their remaining key players beyond the January window deadline.
This would come as a major setback on the transfer front to Chelsea and manager Graham Potter who is under pressure following recent back-to-back defeats to Manchester City with the 47-year-old urged to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes.
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is understood to be on the verge of signing for Chelsea on loan to become Potter’s fourth signing after David Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Andrey Santos.
