Arsenal are reportedly prepared to hijack Chelsea’s move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the January window in order to bolster their injury hit frontline.
The Blues have long been keeping tabs on Vlahovic who has been tipped to leave Juventus only a year into his big-money transfer to the Turin giants who snapped him up from Benfica in the early days of 2022.
With Graham Potter looking to add extra firepower to his attacking ranks with the winter transfer window now open, there had been speculation doing the rounds of Chelsea stepping up their efforts to sign the Serbian number nine Vlahovic.
According to a report from the Italian news publication Corriere dello Sport, it is claimed that Mikel Arteta’s Premier League table toppers Arsenal are ready to battle their city rivals Chelsea for securing Vlahovic’s signature.
The recent developments come after reports credited Chelsea with an interest in Arsenal’s long-standing transfer target, the Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, who is said to be a top name on the Gunners’ shopping list.
